  • Yahoo LOS ANGELES, Sept 4 (Reuters) - U.S. hotel room revenue rose 3.1 percent in the last week of August, continuing a late-summer improvement in travel that some analysts fear may falter in the autumn. Revenue per available room rose 3.1 percent from a year earlier to $50.90 in the week to Aug. 30, tracking firm Smith Travel Research reported.

Occupancy rose 2.0 percent to 62.7 percent of rooms and room rates increased 1.1 percent to $81.20 in the week, Smith said.
