  • Gaming Industry Wire UIC has implemented MSR track data encryption in the PP790se and PP795 with Signature Capture using industry-standard security best practices found in current HSM products.

The UIC PP790se and PP795 Pin Pad with Signature Capture support MSR End-to-End Data Encryption at no additional cost with no transaction fees, no license charges, and no proprietary equipment.

"UIC provides great products with the best total cost of ownership. We don't lock in our customers to proprietary solutions that make them pay us license and transaction fees." Tom Siegler, VP and GM of UIC USA.

Using a proven single-chip solution managing firmware, applications, authentication, and cryptographic functions, the PP790se and PP795 have world-class security. The advanced security design often referred to as a Tamper Resistant Security Module or TRSM protects your data physically, electrically, and logically. This superior architecture enabled UIC to achieve the world's first PCI 2.1 approval for a full function signature capture terminal.

    • The security chip has embedded, hardware-based cryptographic functions -- it's not just software
    • Data encryption keys are injected via HSM-based products like the Futurex SKI
    • The security chip handles key management which gives PCI-level security capability for ALL keys and cryptographic functions
    • MSR data encryption keys are protected by multi-level active tamper response
    • The PP790se and PP795 and standard HSMs can interoperate for bulk data encryption
    • Any processor using a standard HSM can do the key management and processing for the data encrypted by UIC devices. Custom software packages and additional hardware are not required.
