Steak n Shake Appoints New Executive Vice President of Operations |

he Steak n Shake Company (NYSE:SNS) announced today that Omar Janjua has joined the Company as Executive Vice President, Operations. |
In that position he will assume full responsibility for the operations of all of the Company's restaurants. "We are pleased that a person with Mr. Janjua's extensive experience and talent will be joining our Company," said Peter Dunn, the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Dunn added, "Mr. Janjua has a unique background that can make an important difference for Steak n Shake as we take our game to the next level. He recently led an 800 unit restaurant division and delivered improved guest satisfaction and positive sales trends. He also led Operations Services at Pizza Hut where he successfully coordinated planning and change initiatives nationally. Prior to that assignment he led the Concept Development function for Pizza Hut and successfully evolved the design of their dine-in restaurants. Finally, his prior experience as a Director of Finance provides a strong financial perspective that can help guide all initiatives."
Mr. Janjua has an extensive background in the restaurant industry, including serving in executive positions with Yum Brands, Inc. in its Pizza Hut operations. He most recently successfully operated as Head Coach, Vice President Operations for the West territory. Prior to that role he served as Head Coach and Vice President for Franchise Operations, which supported 75 franchisees and 2,600 franchised restaurants. Mr. Janjua has also served as Senior Director of Restaurant Services and Director Concept Development.
