Accor North America announces the opening of 55 hotels in 2011, all under franchise contracts. The latest openings include 49 Motel 6 and six Studio 6 properties with a room count of more than 4,100.

Motel 6 announces the opening of 22 franchise locations during the first half of 2011. The latest openings include 20 Motel 6 properties and two Studio 6 properties, with a total room count of 1,656.

Motel 6 today announced the Motel 6 App for iPhone and iPod touch is now available on the App Store. The Motel 6 App makes it simple for guests to quickly find and book rooms at more than 1,100 locations in the United States and Canada.
