The new property opened on April 6, 2012 and is Lafayette’s first Holiday Inn Express hotel. The hotel has hired 30 employees including Shannon Lowry as General Manager and Marissa Troemel as Director of Sales.

The former Comfort Inn, recently underwent a $2 million renovation of the entire 91-room hotel, including all guest rooms and the public spaces.

The hotels, owned and managed by Grupo Contempo S.A., under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group, will be located in the key cities of Bogota, Cartagena and Barranquilla.

The 109-room hotel, which includes 50 suites, is ideally located just off Interstate 45 close to major shopping, sports and entertainment venues. Formerly a Guesthouse Inn & Suites, the hotel underwent a major renovation, giving it a more modern and up-to-date look.

Interstate Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of the 252-room Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam-Sloterdijk Station in the Netherlands. The hotel is the second of a nine-hotel portfolio currently being developed across the Netherlands.

The 11-story, 130-room hotel at 111 Cone Street Northwest, which had previously been the Centennial Inn Atlanta Hotel, underwent a $7 million conversion that included enhancements throughout the hotel.

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed an agreement with RB Capital to manage Kuala Lumpur’s first Holiday Inn Express, which will be built along Bukit Bintang by Amsterling Hotels Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of RB Capital.

The 122-guestroom property was purchased by an affiliate of Blue Cougar Investments, LLC
